How to Prevent Starting Issues
In the instances where the generator failed to start, the owners blamed it on carburetor issues. The generator would have been sitting in storage sometimes for over a year, with the owner having neglected to drain the carburetor of fuel.
That gasoline in the carburetor will gum up over time, blocking the carb’s jets as a result. The best way to drain the carburetor is to switch off the fuel supply and let the generator die down on its own. Low oil shutoff
